Checking In

Wow, it's been awhile since I last blogged.

With revision classes as well as additional classes back to back, life is pretty much solely focused towards my own preparation for my upcoming exams. Other plans and menial distractions are either put on the back-burner or set-aside.

Nowadays, I much prefer to be a hermit and drown myself in books and revision materials. With the limited time I have, I'm either studying or just relaxing.

Just last week, Hubs even had to forced me to go out for his bro's birthday celebration despite me telling him waaaay ahead (we're talking months ahead with a blanket and general NO to all here) that I am not willing to attend any social activities. He'd OK'd it earlier on but on the day itself, pfftttt. I'm so dead serious with my initial plans that I've even postponed my own as well as Hubs' birthday celebrations to after my exams. He agreed of course, earlier on. My exams comes first for now. However, from the look of things, he's going back from his earlier promises to not drag me to those I consider menial social activities, little by little. Haiz.

Just a few days ago, I woke up in the wee hours of the morning and had a major freak out. "OH MY GOD! I only have a month left!!!" After screaming that out, I started recalculating the time frame I have left. Despite more than one month left, time is very much limited and running out. Ready or not, exams are coming.

Throughout my preparation, I've also been teased about my hair. Haiz, with our country's humidity and all and the state of my natural hair, rebonding is the only way to go. Unlike the weather in the UK where it was kinder to my hair, here, it would frizz like mad. So, since I refuse to spare any time at the hair salon, I've been "bunjuting" it for now. Even my friends had jokingly dubbed me "Hantu Bunjut". Kughaaag ajaaaak punyer budak! Hahaha!

Nice to know I still have crazy friends who I can talk about anything and everything. Despite not being able to meet up as often with our respective busy schedules and our own thing, it's good that we can always pick up where we left off as though no lapse in between.

About my hair, I have scheduled a date at the salon and WILL do my hair very soon so that I don't look so bad for Raya. In fact, I just called a new place my friends recommended this morning to reconfirm my appointment ( The Cu's and Do's branch nearby is moving and I'm not willing to travel all the way to Publika or Mont Kiara for any appointment). Can't stand my bunjut/samurai style anymore. So much so that I've totally refused to be photographed, even if Hubs promises not to publish it in any social medium. I better give myself a serious make-over after my exams.

My moral had also taken massive beatings. If it was represented in a graph, you'd see a sharp dip continued with a flat line onwards. So, in short breaks in between, I'd browse and boost myself with snippets of motivational quotes and videos to help me. Plus, Hubs had pretty much threatened to "ketuk kepala" I if I don't pass in one shot. That's one strong motivation there. Heheh...

Wish me luck!
