Lucky bunch of kids

At the risk of sounding like a complaining granny, kids these days got it good. Cartoons, toys, clothes, shoes, gadgets...all canggih manggih...

Boyfie: Maybe I should get my nephew a playdoh set
Moi': Not yet larrrr...he's too young for it
Boyfie: Maybe I should get you a set...cos' then you can learn to cook
Moi': -_-"

Fare thee well...

Came in the office and was greeted with a bag of goodies on my desk. Yay!!!

The day continued with lunch in the office held by staff for several occasions including to wish me farewell and all the best. And of course, more goodies from my team!

Sitting back at my chair, staring at my neat desk and bare drawers, I do feel sad. I'd be lying to say that I'm 100% ecstatic over leaving the organisation. Nonetheless, I have to move forward. Thank you to my superiors and colleagues for all the support. I have learnt a lot and will hopefully be able to apply them in the near future. Insyaallah, we'll meet again soon. Don't be shy to say hi if you ever bump into me at the shopping malls or pasar malams. Whenever you want to have a chat, I'm just a phone call away.

A new friend

After a visit to the doctor's, H* and I went to the curve and ikea to chill. Along the way, found a new friend...

Say ola to my little amiga...

Plans foiled

I learnt my lesson.
Basically there was another male cat in the compound and of course Hiro being the 'big kahuna' wanted to go out there and show it who's boss. Coincidentally my dad wanted to leave for errands as well so Hiro was primed on dashing out as soon as the front door is opened. We both told him no several times and after coaxing failed, I tried to lift him...BIG MISTAKE! Blood and flesh out in in the open (and no, I am not exaggerating...no pics for gore fans out there)
In total, got six stitches and the rest are skin loss.
After my emergency trip to the clinic, Hiro came over to gesel my leg...I guess he's sorry...
Haizzzzz...

Stock up

It's been a while since I last had home-cooked or even home-made food. My pantry has been bare (discounting the left over onions and garlic since the last time my sis cooked) since god knows when. Even my bekas beras kosong...haiyahyah...(yes, yes, we malays believe it's a no no to do such things and must ensure there's rice in the house at all times).

If you have one of those 'close at midnight' marts, go grocery shopping at 9.30 p.m. onwards and you will find peace in your shopping. I know I did. No kids screaming or running around creating chaos. Not that many people to block the way. Bliss...I've even planned the menu for tomorrow. I want to eat home-cooked food as much as I can until I start my new job.

Packing

Spent the day packing today. Felt slightly sentimental whilst packing. I've spent up to five years here. Not only have I learnt and gained a lot personally and professionally, but gained some very close-knit friends along the way.
I remind myself that I'm moving on to better, insyaallah, and new opportunities and challenges. May Allah bless my decisions and look after me always. Amin...
