One rainy evening...

It was raining heavily this evening. We decided to make a quick, albeit, short dash to our car.

Husbie : Cover kepala you...

Moi': With what sayang? Your tummy?

Husbie : With your kepala...

Moi': Ermm...you want me to cover my kepala with my kepala?

Husbie : Eh...nooo! Cover your kepala with your hands...

Moi' :  -______-  ( Sabau ajer laaa)

Raiding the fridge

With weekends occupied with open houses and weddings, we've been delaying our trip to the pasar tani for our grocery shopping. My stock of onions are running low and I'm saving it for tonight's dinner.

My angan-angan to just be full from my nestum breakfast was a total no-go. So I raided the fridge and came out with something quick and yes, unhealthy, for lunch.

No milk..but I used my anlene milk powder and made my own liquid milk to compensate. Malas nak tunggu hotdogs defrost so goreng nuggets instead.

A block of cheese...some spices.

Tadaaaa...

Hahahah....makan macam orang bujang this afternoon...but the mac and cheese turned out awesome despite it being homemade and quick...

Friday catch-up sesh...

It's been awhile since I had lunch with two of my closest friends. Our friendship oddly enough began at my old workplace. ..and continued even after I left. The three of us are of a different ages but had no problems sharing feelings and ups and downs.

Thanks girls...we're truly blessed to have found each other and I hope we can gelak ketawa, have dirty jokes and talk more of 'unlady-like' behaviour e.g. farts and bowel movements until we are nenek tuas.

Mwaaakksss...

The waiting game

It's been a month since I left my previous job. Now it's the waiting game...wait for what you ask? I'm not really sure...my new job posts or strengthened inclination to have the guts to start up on my own.

In the meantime, we have been gearing to set up our library cum home office. When growing up I remember my family always having one dedicated room for work and study. And later on only then I got to know that I was not the only one among my sisters whom actually dreamt of having a library like Belle from Beauty and the Beast... ( still setting my hopes up for a huge library of my own).

In the meantime, I have this blank canvas to work on. Husbie is more of the conventional and old-worldly type when it comes to the handling of books.

But what do you guys think of colour-coordinating books rather than the conventional "according to fiction/non-fiction" kind of organising?

:p

P.s. the picture with the colour-coordinated organised books is sooo not mine. Got it off randomly from Google okay?

From open houses, husbie's B-day to Supermoon

Celebrate good times, come on ! (Kool & The Gang).

Wohooooo!!!

Our awesome Sunday began at 12 a.m. by wishing my husbie an awesome XX (age cannot be mentioned here due to certain reasons...heheh) birthday and many happy years together ahead.
During the day, we spent our time visiting friends at raya open houses and running some household-related chores.

In the evening, we went home to his parents' to celebrate his birthday. My MIL cooked home-made nasi arab and bought a cake. My bro-in-law had to light three sticks of matches to light all the candles. Lesson learnt....next time just buy one of those "numbered" candles.

Husbie was totally ecstatic with his family's birthday present. He has been wanting to own a Tumi for a while now. So to get one on his birthday was icing on the cake.

By the by, totally didn't realise the Supermoon was last night. Saw it but thought it was just one of those beautiful nights.

By the by, I've decided babies are the best accessories...EVER!

The shoes I would have worn if not for the heavy rain yesterday...
Besarnyer kotak...i rasa kasut dalam tu... :p

I see more candles than cake... (sajer nak bully husbie)
Don't blow away the cake sayang!
Husbie and friends...masing-masing ASAS boys makin empuk...little Zach siap test lagi

Took time to go shop for fruits...asyik rendang and all the fatty stuff takleh jugak...

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir dan Batin

It's a bit late but I'd like to wish all my Muslim readers a Happy Eid.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

For my non-Muslim readers, hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.

In my case, this year's raya has been extra special for my husband and I.  It was my birthday on 1st Syawal and our first raya together as husband and wife. We celebrated eid in my kampung this year so next year it will be his kampung's turn.

Looking forward to a month of open houses and visiting family and friends.
