Sarawak_4-7 Nov 2011: Day 1

M* and I arrived in Kuching on Friday morning and made our way to Damai Puri Resort & Spa. We took a cab straight to Damai. On the way there, we enjoyed awesome and magnificent views...including Mount Santubong.

Upon settling our luggages in our room, we made our way to what we came to Damai for. The Sarawak Cultural Village. A definite must-do and must-see. M* and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is a very educational and interactive experience, fun for all ages. SERIOUSLY!!! Bring your student ID to get the local rate. If not, you'd have to fork out RM60 for the ticket.

Sexaaaayyy...the sexiness lasted only till evening tho...I am telling you, the downpour in Kuching is even more heavier than what we usually experience in the Semenanjung

Rain or shine...must take a pic at Damai Beach before we go back to the city

My personal tips from Day 1:

• If you want to stay in Damai with a more happening vibe, choose Damai Beach Resort. We initially wanted to stay there but what happened was that only later did we realise we had chosen Damai Puri Resort and Spa. We thought it was one and the same. Both are close to the cultural village. But from what I heard from the locals, Damai Beach Resort has a better lay out of the beach. Damai Puri was OK, the hotel is comparatively new to Damai Beach resort with its recent takeover and renovation..but it was kinda quiet, too quiet... the food choices at the hotel were honestly disappointing...poor maintenance (too bad cos' it does have potential)..and SNORREEEE...boring gilerrr...no activities etc (the spa choices are limited)
• Food in Sarawak are generally not spicy, so for those who are die-hard "must-have-pedas/sambal" food, just bear with it and enjoy your time in Kuching
• If you're still a student, you're in luck!!! Bring your student ID and get the local rate in purchasing your Sarawak Cultural Village ticket.
• As usual, plan your getaway to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
• Bring a small umbrella with you always!!! When it rains, IT REALLY RAINSSS...
• Bring your charger for the camera and an extra memory card...I had to delete some of the pictures I took by the second day so that I could take more pics...

Dear LV,

I will miss your cute meows and early morning greetings.
I will miss rubbing your warm tummy.
I will miss you following me around the house, staying next to me while I wash the dishes.
I will miss you waiting for me outside the bathroom door while I shower.
I will miss your pale beige-orange body sleeping in my lap and chest.
I will miss you sleeping next to my pillow.
I will miss you while you whine as I am about to leave the house to go off to work.

Though we had a brief time together, I will forever miss you.

R.I.P. LV. I am sorry I was not there for you when you passed. When I prepared you for your trip to Kuantan this morning, I still remember how you looked at me. With loving eyes. Who knew it was your way of saying your last goodbye to me. I did and still love you. Thank you for the joy and happiness you brought into my life.

Refining my schedule

I went to Tropicana Medical Centre today. Fantastic customer service by the way. Doc wanted to put a cast on my leg but I refused it for now. However, if the MRI results this Saturday shows that I absolutely need a cast, I would have no choice but to agree with the doc's recommendation.

For now, I am on MC. I would have to move things around so that I can honour my commitments before I am unable to drive with my cast.

Update on LV: He has not improved. I am still worried for him. Despite him being so weak, he still meows back when I call him. I miss having him tailing me around the house. I want him up and about again. Please, please, let him be well again.

The Paaaaaaaiiiiinnnnn!!!

I think I have to go back to the clinic at my office tomorrow to ask for a referral to another private clinic or hospital. First, I have to come in tomorrow and check with our office policy.

The doc's current pain meds is not working and I am in terrible pain. Never thought the pain from a sprain can be so lingering. Feels like hot needles have been poked in my right ankle. Though the right side of my right ankle is the main affected area, it feels like the pain is spreading and creeping to my toes and to my whole ankle. I cannot sleep and whenever I try to, I end up waking up screaming and patting my ankle.

Oh eemmmm geeeeeee!!! Think happy thoughts...HAPPY THOUGHTTTSSS... Aaaarrrghhhh!!!
